Completed iAnimate Game Workshop 1 and... new studio! - iAnimate ゲームワークショップ完了、そして新スタジオ!

Hello everyone!  It's been a long time (yet again!) since I've updated this blog.   I think it is now a great time to write a post, as a LOT of changes have occurred from the last few months. 

Firstly, I've finally completed the iAnimate Games Workshop 1!  It was extremely challenging for me to balance both work and school, especially during a very hard crunch last March, but fortunately I managed to get through a learn (and re-learn!) the principles of animation.  My lecturer David Lam was an excellent teacher that had the patience and guidance to help me learn more about timing, appeal and weight in video game animation.  Not to mention my talented classmates!  There are many students that showcased their expertise in their animation craft, and it motivated me to work harder on my assignments.  It was truly a humbling experience that made me realize how much more I need to learn animation all over again.

Luckily, its education has helped me lead to work at a new studio to be on my very first in-game cinematic for a AAA title game!  I'm very thankful for the opportunity to finally get a chance at working on a cinematic in my career.  It is unfortunate that I had to leave TMNT at Bardel, but it was a chance I could not pass up.  I want to thank Bardel for the wonderful, memorable two years working on the best action packed TV animation series!  I really hope I have the opportunity to work on future projects there again.

Now at Waterproof Studios, I am pushing myself to learn motion capture and create some exciting works for the cinematic?  Once the game is released I will let you all know what I worked on... stay tuned!

皆さん、お久しぶりです!またまた遅れましたが、ブログ更新です。そろそろ書かなくてはとい時期なので書かせていただきます。この数ヶ月間色々ありましたので。。。

まず、やっとiAnimateのゲームワークショップ1を終わりました!仕事と勉強を両立するのはとっても大変でしたが、なんとかできました(特に三月は締め切りに追われていたので、大変だった。)また一からアニメーション基礎を学び、そしてDavid Lam講師からタイミング、アピール、ウェイトなど、ゲームのアニメーションには重要な要素を教わりました。とっても落ち着いていた先生でした。ありがとうございます!

そして、ワークショップ終わった後、新しいスタジオでなんと初のCGゲームのシネマチック・アニメーターとして働くことになってしまいました!感謝感激。Bardel EntertainmentでTMNT番組から離れるのは悲しいけど、このチャンスは逃したくないと思って移りました。Bardelの皆さん、本当にお世話になりました!また次のプロジェクトに一緒に働きたい会社だと思いました。

現在はWaterproof Studiosでモーションキャプチャーしています!とってもいいプロジェクトですので、楽しみにしてください!
